For easier reference, In this document we enumerated the buttons as below :

Please note that the above image is a snapshot of application screen in a specific theme. Depending on which theme you are using the appearance may differs.

Note: An administrator or a granted moderator user may disable some buttons for your account.

- Item 1 : About Glassroom

This item demonstrates a simple about box.

- Item 2 : Change your nickname

This item opens a dialog box asking you for your new nickname.

- Item 3 : Change your icon

This item opens a window with some small images you can choose one of them as your icon. This image will be placed aside of your nickname in users list and message board.

- Item 4 : Change display fonts

You can change the message board's fonts here.

- Item 5: Edit your profile

This item opens a dialog box asking you for your personal settings : your real name, your email address, your gender, etc. When a user selects your name in users list and clicks on "Show user profile" button the information you entered will appear in his/her message board. If you have not  logged in as guest, your changes is saved in your database account.

- Item 6 : Exit from software

This button ends your current chat session, and disconnects you from the chat server. It's recommended to use this button before closing the application window.

- Item 7 : Users pane

List of users and some buttons related to other users like private chat button are placed here.

- Item 8 : Show all users

If this checkbox is checked, all the users in chat environment in all rooms are listed in "users list" otherwise only users in current room appears in "users list".

- Item 9 : Users list

The users in chat environment or in current room are listed in this list box. For selecting a user click on his/her image or name. To private chat with a user double click on user image or name.

- Item 10 : Show user profile

If you want to see a users profile settings, first select a user from users list by a single click on user name or image then click on this button, after a second user information will appear in "message board".

Note: This takes a time to show user profile so don't click more than one time.

- Item 11 : Private chat with user

To private chat with a user, first select a user from users list by a single click on user name or image. Then click on this button. After a while a private chat window will appear on your screen.

- Item 12 : Private voice chat with user

To do private voice chat with a user, first select a user from users list by a single click on user name or image. Then click on this button. After a while a window appears informing you that a request is sent to user and waits for his/her grant for private voice chat. If he/she grants you for private chat a window will appear in you machine that contains a voice chat control you can directly talk with your partner there.

Note : You can not do public and private chat simultaneously, so you must close or disable private chat control before resuming public voice chat.

- Item 13 : Ignore user's messages

If some users send you a lot of undesired messages, you can avoid seeing his/her messages by clicking on this item. First select a user from the users list by a single click on the user name or the image. Then click on this button. A red line will appear across user's icon and that user's messages wont appear in "message board".

- Item 14 : Private send file

Use this button to send a file to a user in private. First select your target user from users list then press on this button. A window will appear asking you file name. Select your file considering file size limit reported in this window then press send. Your file first is uploaded in server then a message prompts target user to download it.

- Item 15 : Talk push button button

Use this button to do public voice chat. You must first turn your voice control (item 16) on then press this button and hold it. When you press this button it goes to a wait state until a grant message arrives from server indicating no other speaker requested and granted before you.

Note : Don't speak just after pressing talk button, but wait for at least one second before beginning your voice.

- Item 16 : Glassroom Voice control

Use this control to turn Glassroom's voice on and off, and adjust voice settings like microphone sensitivity and microphone volume.

Note : If you connect to internet through firewall or proxy you can not use voice unless you ISP open 6100 and 7070 UDP port for you. (these values is default ones, your administrator may change them )

- Item 17 : Rooms list

List of all rooms is displayed here. You can select a room by a single click. If you double click on a room, after a while you will leave current room and enter that room.

IMPORTANT NOTICE : It takes a time to leave a room and enter another room so don't double click more than ONE TIME.

IMPORTANT NOTICE : If you enter and leave many rooms in a short while, flood controller closes your connection!

- Item 18 : Create room

This item opens a dialog box asking your desired room name, password, and topic. After pressing "OK" the new room will be created and you will enter it. If you try to open a room currently exist you just enter that room. If you and all other users in user-created room leave it, the room will be closed automatically, that is the system don't keep a user-created room without any user.

If you set a password for your room, only users know your password can enter it. If anyone try to enter a password protected room, a window will appear and ask him for room's password.

- Item 19 : Leave room

First select current room by a single click on the room name in "rooms list" then press this button to leave that room. please note that it's possible that you could be in the chat environment but not in any rooms. In this case you can just do private chat not public. If you try to do public chat, an error message will appear in the "message board".

- Item 20 : Enter room

First select your desired room by a single click on the room name in "rooms list" then press this button to enter that room.

- Item 21 : Input text box

You can type your message in this text box. After writing your message press return key to send it.

- Item 22 : Message board

In this list box messages and notifications are shown. When a user send a private message to you for first time, this message places in this list whit a different color (usually yellow). If you want to have a private session with sender of message, you can click on this message, then a private window will be opened for your session. You can send and receive private messages in that window.

- Item 23 : View public transcript

After pressing this button a window will appear containing all the texts in message board. Use this feature to select a part of text and copy/paste it anywhere.

- Item 24 : Public web address send

Use this button to send an internet address (URL) to a room in public.

- Item 25 : Public file send

This button is similar to item 14 ( private file send ) but it works in public and target is the all users in a room.
